Map of Huish Episcopi, Langport and Wearne

On sale for the first time, Limited Edition Prints of the new,
local map created by Clive Sills.

This is a piece of unique artwork covering the area of Huish Episcopi, Langport and Wearne, painted by Clive Sills, of Huish Episcopi to commemorate the Queen's Diamond Wedding Anniversary.

The map has now been produced commercially and these A3 prints can now be purchased, framed or unframed.

Clive, Churchwarden of St. Mary's for the past 10 years, has produced this most detailed, illustrated map, measuring approx 1.2m x 1m, showing nearly every property
in  Langport, Huish Episcopi and Wearne,
along with detailed insets of buildings of distinction, with historical or noteworthy facts.
Included among the cameos is one of the railway station long-closed, which the local community are currently striving to reopen.

This is a rare opportunity to acquire something special, that encapsulates this entire local community.

The nine months work on the piece ceased on the day of the Jubilee in June last year, so the area, with its developments, is now frozen in time.
By coincidence, 40 years earlier, in  June 1972, the stamp depicting St. Mary's Church tower in
Huish Episcopi, was introduced by the Post Office.
