Garden fete at Huish Rectory

Hundreds turned up for two events at the Rectory in Huish Episcopi.
The our parish priest, Jess Pitman and her husband Chris were pleased to welcome parishioners and guests on Saturday 5th August.
A multitude of chairs and picnic tables and gazebos appeared from out of the rectory out houses to be set up by a great number of supporters. Catering teams provided dozens of buns, sausages and scones for this special garden.

The church tower was opened and dozens of people climbed the 137 steps to see the outstanding views.

The church itself was a beautiful setting for a set of flower displays under the theme of the rainbow, much cited in biblical readings and perhaps influenced by the recent weather patterns!
